Started his own business in 1976 as MANIKS, and established the brand name of MANIKS in the field of Controls for Air Pollution and Dust Collector industry. He is an alumni of IIT Bombay, Powai from 1976 Batch. MANIKS is the first Indian Manufacturing Company to achieve ISO 9002 for Manufacturing of Pulse Solenoid Valve & Sequential timers. He has also developed various innovative Energy Saving systems under this brand. He has been awarded Life Time Achievement Award by ISHRAE PUNE CHAPTER for his contribution towards Air Conditioning & Refrigeration industry in last 25 years.

He firmly believes in "Reverse Engineering" i.e. Import Substitution, Indigenisation and Improvement. This is the method by which countries like Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong have prospered. To share these ideas with others, he has arranged seminars, lectures, initiation programmes for various Engineering Colleges such as COEP, VIT, MIT, BVCOE etc, IIT Powai, IIT Chennai, Industrial Associations such Laghu Udyog Bhararti, Thane Small Scale Manufacturer's Association, Belgaum Small Scale Manufacturer's Association, Nashik Small Scale Manufacturer's Association etc.

He has also shared his views and generated a well -wishers of India group, willing to support Indian Manufacturers in various countries like Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, etc.

Dr. Vijay Pande has been working in power sector, especially in the automatic power metering infrastructure for more than a decade. He is an alumni of IIT Roorkee and IIT Bombay. Prior to Powertel software, he has worked with Accelerated Systems Pvt. Ltd., Power One Data, Matrix and Cranes Software. His broad area of interests are Digital Signal Processing, Microelectronics and Telecommunications in addition to the system theory.

He has worked as IEEE Transaction on Automatic Control in year 1995. He also filed four patents in the areas of Wireless communications, Powerline communication, Hybrid networking, and Real time system and Real time Energy trading network. ( 1 in US and 3 in India). He has also worked as patent/IPR advisor to leading companies in 3G wireless and WLAN and helped them filing 26 patents. He has guided several academic projects as Master thesis and two PhD Thesises are currently going on under his guidance.
